Matanuska Glacier

Flash back to Memorial Weekend.
I told you I had a lot of catching up to do. It is going to be random here and there! Sorry :(
We all went camping for 3 beautiful Alaskan days to the Matanuska Glacier. I have been dying to go there since we moved here. I heard it was just breath taking. And it was. Kian has just started walking about 2 weeks before. So it was definitely interesting. He was a little weeble-wooble, but he managed to get around and lick just about every rock that he came across. I sure love that little boy. I remember stressing over how DIRTY he was, and how HARD it was to keep him out of EVERYTHING! Now I look back and miss that time when he was slow. Cause at least then I could catch him.

I am going to let the pictures do the talking. It was so beautiful, hence the photos of everything but my messy boys :) Hope you enjoy. Hopefully it will make you want to come visit us next summer :)

Ok-- I got a little confused when I was uploading all these photos. There may be some duplicates in there. Oh well. At least I am blogging a little again :)

My Boys

It's been months, I know. I have 700 pictures of the boys to go through and post. I can't believe how much my little Kian has grown since my last post in April. He is walking, running and climbing now. His head is full of curls, and he drives his Momma insane.

I have been busy. My Photography business has really taken off in a way I never expected. I have been so blessed with wonderful clients, gorgeous weather, and a loving God that has guided me every step of the way. I would love to do a post on all of the miracles He has sent my way, and maybe someday I will have enough time to do so, but until then, just know that the reason for my success in my business comes from my loving Heavenly father.

So between working as an X-ray tech at the hospital, snapping (and editing, and uploading) photos for my wonderful customers, sewing two stinkin quilts (trying to figure out how I got conned into that one) and spending every spare moment with my amazing sons and terrific husband, my life has been hectic. The blog, unfortunately was the first thing I had to chop out to make a little spare time.

My boys have been so enjoying summer. They both are outdoor boys and love to spend every waking moment in the sun, grass, water and dirt. They had a wonderful time with their Grandpa Scott who stopped by for a visit, we have had numerous camping trips and have tried to spend as much time together as possible.

We are looking forward to a tour of the midwest here in a few weeks. We get to see the GG parents in Arkansas, the awesome Okies, and the fantastic Huskers. It is going to be a fabulous trip, we are so excited to get some amazing tans and spend some time with the people who mean the most to us.

When we return to Alaska Paxton will begin preschool. He is beyond excited and really looking forward to that new adventure. I really hope that time will allow me to post more often. To catch everyone up on our adventures, but as I look at my schedule, I know that may not be a reality. Know that we love you all and are thinking about you often. I seem to be able to update my Facebook page with a photo here and there, so feel free to find me on there and until next time (which hopefully wont be too long, enjoy some photos of my little munchkins :)

This is the best I could get of both of them. Kian kinda looks like a nutcase, but at least they are both together in the same picture looking at the camera. Taking pictures of your own children is tricky business :)

Sorry :-(

Yeah yeah. I know I have been avoiding the blog for a few weeks. Sorry. It all started when one of my memory cards from the camera crashed. It has all the pictures from Christmas to Paxton's birthday. All gone. Luckily I have uploaded most all of them onto the blog (except for P's first dog sled ride). So most of the good ones are still floating in cyberspace. But it kinda got me into a crazy blogging funk. Then I up and decided to go ahead with opening my own Photo business. It has been something I have always wanted to do. I just had the feeling that now was the time. I am not planning to go super large right off the bat. I am hoping for a few weekends here and there to grow my portfolio and grow my skillz. But it is still a ton of work. Boy oh boy am I excited though. I have to website pretty much up and running. It still needs a little work for the purchasing part. So check it out.

Then like our Facebook page. And tell everyone you know, I am doing portrait work for dirt cheap.

The goal is to really have a strong portfolio and website so that when we transition out of the Coast Guard and settle I can really go after it full force. But yeah. That is what is taking up all my naptime-freetime.

But I know you all were dying to see my turkeys. So I figured I would give you a little to hold you over for a while.

This post is all for those Paxton lovers out there"

We went to the zoo today. It is super sunny and almost warm (36 degrees). So I figured I would dress for the occasion in a sweat shirt, capris, and flats, with no socks. Luckily I was a little smarter and dressed the boys for the freezing cold it actually was. They loved it. Both of them were talking up a storm at every animal we saw. Me on the other hand. I hate the zoo. I always have. Today I hated it even more because my fingers and toes fell off. But I do love taking my boys. I love their love for the zoo. This was the only picture I took. Seriously. It was freaken cold

We have really had some awesome weather lately. Like high 30's. Sounds so crazy. But after months of darkness and negative temperatures you take what you can get. We went out for a walk at Kincaid Park here in Anchorage. Love that place. And I love how handsome my guys are.

Gosh he is cute.

Maybe if I don't nap with the boys today I will give you a Kian post. Maybe. If your lucky.

The words of little Pax

I’ve always wanted to write down the funny ways that Paxton says stuff. Now that he is almost three, is pronunciation is getting pretty awesome and my memory is starting to fade. It kinda breaks my heart! So I am going to try to remember what I can, add to it later when I think of more, and hopefully you guys will chime in if you remember some that I forgot. My favorite of all time is probably yogurt. He called it “LugLuck.” Its not even close really. But he called it “lugluck” forever. My other favorite was knife. He called it a “knike.” The latest one that I can think of is Abra-cadabra. “azbra-cadazbra”
Then there is always the famous "Aunt Dulie"

He is pure awesomeness.
And I posted this on facebook a few days ago, but the one thing I never imagined my self saying:
“Paxton, quit vaccuming your brother”
Oh the life of being a mom to boys.

My Three Year old

I can finally get on the computer! Tylor has been home sick from work this whole week. He got what Kian got. Poor guys. I feel like our house is just full of germs! Luckily Tylor is doing better and back at work, not hogging my computer anymore with his school work. So I have a feeling (if both boys nap good today) that there will be quite a few catch up posts!

So onto the important stuff

Paxton Lee: He has been three for a little over two weeks now, and is loving every moment. I have been a slacker and haven't mailed out his three-year-old pictures, but I wanted to post them on here, so you can have a sneak peak.
I also thought you might want his stats:
Height: 40 and 1/4 inches
Weight: 35.6 lbs

He is in the 97 percentile for height
He is in the 90 percetile for weight

So yeah, big boy. Love him to death

Poor little guy has been battling ear infections for the last 3 months. He is such a trooper though, he never really complains about them hurting, usually we figure it out because he has that dang runny nose and then will check his ears.

The Birthday Party, Final Take.

He are the last photo's of my little man turning 3. I can't believe he is this old. Hard to imagine that 3 years ago we were just coming home from the hospital. It seems like just yesterday. He has brought so much joy and so much change to our lives. We couldn't be prouder to call him ours. It has such a sweet soul. He brings so much happiness to our lives and fills our home with love and laughter. I can't imagine life without him. I remember when I first saw him, how familiar he looked. Like I had seen him before. I still get that feeling to this day. It is really had to explain, but sometimes when I look at him, it is like I have known him my whole life.
I didn't get any pictures of it, but his Nana got him his very first bicycle for his birthday. Nana is going to have to work until she is 90 with how much she spoils little Paxton. But he is worth it. I know exactally where she is coming from. He has been so excited about that bicycle. We have it sitting in the living room and have been pushing him around, helping him learn to peddle for the last few days. Luckily the snow is melting and spring will be here before we know it so we can get it out on the road. I look forward to taking bike rides with little man this summer. It is going to be a blast!
I love my Paxton Lee. I am thankful for his little life and all that he has done to help me and Tylor become better people.
