Many faces of Paxton

I'm up editing more photos--
Both boys are sawing logs and Tylor decided to hit the hay early tonight. These are some pictures I took of Paxton a few weeks ago. That boy runs and hides when I pull out the camera. I usually have to bribe him with some sort of treat or let him do something that is "really super neat"
No matter what it is- I am glad that he lets me take is picture. He is such a handsome fellow and his eyes are such a different color. I think I have decided to label them as amber. They are a mixture of a yellow, brown and a hint of green. BEAUTIFUL!

My adventures with Photoshop....

I always here people complain or "dog" on the use of photoshop. Back in the beginning I was totally against it. In fact I was against digital cameras until I had Paxton and realized how much money I was going to waste buying film... Well the times are changing I guess huh?
SO here's the deal. I started seeing what professional photographers where doing with photoshop. I really liked what I saw too. When photographing children sometimes it is impossible to capture the moment AND make sure your lighting is just right and the camera is on the perfect setting. AND sometimes when everyting is set up just right, your camera just seems to take a crappy photo. So when I realized that just a little tweaking in photoshop could really make your pictures pop-- I decided I REALLY REALLY liked it. So here is my before

And after

Before

And after

Makes a lot of difference right? Oppinions? I know you can take it a little too far, and it looks fake... But anyway, for now I'm hooked.

I am also HOOKED on getting a new camera. I need one that is a little faster and doesn't require as much light... Like a Canon 7D or 60D or I would even be happy with a T2i. I seem to take a lot of photos of the kiddos indoors. And lighting sucks. With these cameras I can take them without using a flash as much and I can lower the ISO without as much grain as my current camera. And the detail on these babies is phenominal!! I NEED a new camera. Looks like I am saving up. And not complaining about working! I also NEED a new lens. And the Tamron 18mm-270mm will be just perfect. Good thing Birthday/Christmas is right around the corner. Hopefully Tylor has been saving...... ;-)

Paxton's Park

Ok maybe this is one of those days. There are 100 other things I should be doing. (if Tylor is reading this, I can see him shaking his head yes). But I am editing some pictures from the other day. I figure as I edit one I can upload another right?
Multi-tasking Tylor. Multi-tasking.....

I am pretty sure he stole that smile from me :)

Showing of his "glovies"

Playing with the sun... Doesn't he look like an angel?

Listening to the music play as they retire the colors. Mr. Patriotic...

SNOW

It's Here! YAY! I figure if it is going to be butt cold outside we might as well have some snow to play in. We woke up this morning to an inch or two of fresh powder! The first thing we did was go out and explore! Paxton loved it. Last year he played out in it a little bit, but he still was a little small in move around in it. Our wonderful neighbors joined us out there and Paxton and little Makayla had a blast throwing snow balls at eachother and making snow angels.

I have tons of pictures I have taken over the last few months but haven't posted anywhere. I am a little overwhelmed by the number of photos and the lack of time I have! I figure I will just what I can, and one day I will find myself bored and be able to catch up. Until then....

Happy Halloween :)

Halloween is here! I am finally getting caught up with life! Finishing Paxton's Robot costume was a huge part of it! We were able to go to a Halloween Party today and Paxton (and me) had a wonderful time. He is really starting to "LUF" Halloween. Life has been good. We are super lonely for family though :)

Where is my time?

Im too busy. I can't keep up. This school just keeps getting harder and harder and now Paxton doesn't believe he needs a nap anymore. So Naptime is hit or miss. Somedays I get it somedays I don't. I haven't forgotten. I just cant find TIME!! Kian Ray is rolling all the way from back to belly without getting his little arm stuck. He mastered rolling the otherway a while back. Anyhow. Maybe soon I will catch up with life. Until then, French Onion soup is waiting to be cooked.

Rollie pollie

Kian is a rolling. He has been doing on and off since birth, but now everytime you put him down he is going one way or another. It's funny watching him go from back to belly, because his little arm still gets stuck! I had to snap this picture of him butt neckkid! He loves having his clothes off and he definately gets his thighs from his Momma!

Last night we went to feed the ducks and have a picnic by the library. Unfortunately my camera died after 2 shots. I was super bummed because I could have had so many sweet pictures of Pax and Ty. Those two are the best of buddies! It was a blast. I really love family time!
