What Sun?

Just for you crazy folks who have never ventured to Alaska in the dead of winter.
These photos where taken from our backyard. I just turned 90 degrees to the right for the second photo.

This was taken January 12th at 9:00 am--- Good morning sun.


Same day at Noon. Wow. That is as high as the sun is going to get all stinking day.


Mind you, these were taken 3 weeks after the solstice. So the days were much shorter in December. Luckily- A month later the days seem much longer. We actually had direct sulight in our window the other day. The first time in months. For you non Alaskans, direct sunlight in your window is a BIG BIG deal. It's what we look forward to all winter long.
