Paxton's Merry Christmas

He is a nutcase. His little eye squints crack me up. You can't help but love him!!

Two Turkey boys

Making Turkey cookies.

I am so glad that these two boys get along so well and play great together. They both like to run and shoot stuff. Paxton thinks that Damon is the coolest thing since sliced bread and loves to follow him around and do whatever Damon is doing. I am thankful that Damon puts up with it and plays so well with Paxton. They are two peas in a pod. I only hope that Paxton is as good to Kian when Kian gets a little older.

Apple Turkey

We made Apple Turkeys today after naptime. After we were done I asked Paxton what we were going to eat for Thanksgiving. He said "CAKE"
I guess that is better then yesterday when I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he told me "Beer." I am not sure how he even knows what beer is.

Snow Day

This is the best part of living in the coldest place in the world. It snowed enough for us to make a snow man. Or for Mommy to make a snow man while Paxton watched. Paxton named him BIG RED. Looks like we've breeded another little Husker fan. It has been really nice because it is staying in the 30's which is perfect for playing outside.

And little Kian unfortunately doesn't get to play outside. But he has been exploring this sippy cup business.

Where's the Mojo?

It was one of those days where I am pretty sure I lost my Mommy Mojo before 10 in the morning. I started composing a mental list of everything that will surely make my hair turn gray before I am 30:

Both boys wake up at 6:30am.
Both boys wake up with colds.
Playdough shoved in the breast pump.
Both fishies in the tank are belly up.
Kian has a super explosive poopy diaper.

I must be forgetting something....
Guess it doesn't seem soooo bad...

Our little Kian

He had Peas last night for the first time. It was a huge success. It always drives me nuts how Moms like to start their babies off with such silly foods. The doctors always tell you to start with veggies right? So why is it that people start off with good veggies like Sweet Potatoes and Squash. Might as well feed them a candy bar. Who would want to eat peas when you could have sweet potatoes? NOT ME! But who am I to judge? We just had such a huge success with Paxton and veggies. He really didn't even try fruit until he was 8-9 months old. Babies love to eat new things, might as well get them set on the yucky stuff first right? Paxton to this day LOVES brocolli, peas, grean beans, corn and carrots. His meal isn't complete without a veggie and he asks for them if they are not there. I love having a healthy eater and I am hoping that Kian will be the same way. I am not to worried though, that kid will eat anything you stick in his mouth. Even his vitamins.

I also wanted to add more pictures of our little guy. It seems like he gets left out of the picture taking quite often. He is just still so little :)

My "MissMiss" List.

Thats it-right there. The ONLY thing I ever want. For Christmas/Birthday for the next 5 years. I LOVE it. I NEED it. We went to Best Buy today and held it and took pictures with it and fell in LOVE with it. I have some major saving up to do, for sure. I am just sooo excited that I cant wait. When we left Best Buy Paxton told me "Mommy, you acting so silly. You want a camera for MissMiss?"

Paxton's "MissMiss" list on the other hand:
Pillow Pet (the duckie one)
A robtic arm grabber thingy.
A Cars t-shirt.
A Thomas the Train set

Lucky boy. I am pretty sure he was good enough for Santa to bring him everything on his list.

Feeding the Duckies

Best past time ever. This has got to be one of my favorite things to do with Paxton. I was a little sad when we moved from Eagle River. They had the cutest little duck pond there. No worries though, we found another really close to our house. I was actually shocked that they ducks were still here. Half of their little pond was frozen over.

Many faces of Paxton

I'm up editing more photos--
Both boys are sawing logs and Tylor decided to hit the hay early tonight. These are some pictures I took of Paxton a few weeks ago. That boy runs and hides when I pull out the camera. I usually have to bribe him with some sort of treat or let him do something that is "really super neat"
No matter what it is- I am glad that he lets me take is picture. He is such a handsome fellow and his eyes are such a different color. I think I have decided to label them as amber. They are a mixture of a yellow, brown and a hint of green. BEAUTIFUL!

My adventures with Photoshop....

I always here people complain or "dog" on the use of photoshop. Back in the beginning I was totally against it. In fact I was against digital cameras until I had Paxton and realized how much money I was going to waste buying film... Well the times are changing I guess huh?
SO here's the deal. I started seeing what professional photographers where doing with photoshop. I really liked what I saw too. When photographing children sometimes it is impossible to capture the moment AND make sure your lighting is just right and the camera is on the perfect setting. AND sometimes when everyting is set up just right, your camera just seems to take a crappy photo. So when I realized that just a little tweaking in photoshop could really make your pictures pop-- I decided I REALLY REALLY liked it. So here is my before

And after

Before

And after

Makes a lot of difference right? Oppinions? I know you can take it a little too far, and it looks fake... But anyway, for now I'm hooked.

I am also HOOKED on getting a new camera. I need one that is a little faster and doesn't require as much light... Like a Canon 7D or 60D or I would even be happy with a T2i. I seem to take a lot of photos of the kiddos indoors. And lighting sucks. With these cameras I can take them without using a flash as much and I can lower the ISO without as much grain as my current camera. And the detail on these babies is phenominal!! I NEED a new camera. Looks like I am saving up. And not complaining about working! I also NEED a new lens. And the Tamron 18mm-270mm will be just perfect. Good thing Birthday/Christmas is right around the corner. Hopefully Tylor has been saving...... ;-)

Paxton's Park

Ok maybe this is one of those days. There are 100 other things I should be doing. (if Tylor is reading this, I can see him shaking his head yes). But I am editing some pictures from the other day. I figure as I edit one I can upload another right?
Multi-tasking Tylor. Multi-tasking.....

I am pretty sure he stole that smile from me :)

Showing of his "glovies"

Playing with the sun... Doesn't he look like an angel?

Listening to the music play as they retire the colors. Mr. Patriotic...
